Our Story
Fillmore is named after the street in Oxford, Mississippi where founders Reese and Bennett lived during college. Known at the time as a notoriously social, high-energy street, it was also where they built lasting relationships and developed the people-first approach that still defines the firm today.
After graduating, Reese and Bennett remained close while pursuing careers in commercial real estate brokerage in Nashville. Through their experience advising clients, they developed a clear conviction: creating lasting financial security is achieved through ownership. That realization ultimately led both to transition away from traditional brokerage roles—Reese from Colliers and Bennett from Lee & Associates—to launch Fillmore in 2024.

Shortly after founding the company, they partnered with Spencer, a lifelong friend of Reese, whose background in technology and software brought a critical and differentiated perspective to the business. Spencer’s expertise has been instrumental in building Fillmore’s platform from the ground up—integrating operational efficiency, data-driven insights, and a forward-thinking infrastructure that sets Fillmore apart from traditional real estate groups.
